On a recent trip to VinItaly we got to meet and taste with Roberto Pighin. As you may or may not know they are internationally recognized for producing "Outstanding" Pinot grigio. But the wine that simply "Blew Our Doors off" was their Sauvignon Blanc. A wine that has the bright and brisk character like their New Zealand counterparts while also displaying hints of grapefruit and melon like it was produced in California and a clean, crisp finish that is "Classic Italian" Tired of Chardonnay and bored by Pinot Grigio, then you owe it to yourself to try this wine...YOU WONT BE SORRY!!!
